Services
- Design, administer, and evaluate in-service training workshops for parents, teachers and administrators
- Give technical assistance in the preparation of grant applications, development of bilingual or ESL instructional programs and identification of federal and state resources
- Conduct trainings for Capital Region youth in preparation for participation in the statewide Angelo Del Toro Puerto Rican/Hispanic Youth Leadership Institute
- Disseminate information to school districts and community-based organizations
- Coordinate BETAC Educators’ Focus Forums on the education of LEP/ELL students
- Maintain a web site with resources for the education of LEP/ELL students
- Provide possible translators and psychologists to assist districts in the evaluation of LEP/ELL (Limited English Proficient/English Language Learner) students
- Coordinate and/or assist with the development and implementation of regional and statewide conferences with other New York State BETACs, professional associations, and the New York State Education Department
- Publish an online service area newsletter
